About HooD Magazine
HooD Magazine, whose premier issue hit the streets in February of 2005, is an independent publication that is south-eastern based and is distributed throughout 16 states and 40 cities. Our objective is to stay as close to the streets as possible and still appeal to the same hip-hop audience that is attracted to the larger publications. We are the voice of the streets; where hip-hop starts and transforms. Our target market is everyone who is interested in or who loves the hip-hop culture; that ranges from: music, cars, sports, comedy, and fashion. HooD Magazine was formed, originally, to give underground artist a place to shine and to give the normal everyday people a chance to be involved in our publication by encouraging them to send in anything and everything that represents their HooD. We have plans to expand HooD Magazine beyond music and reach out to other aspects of entertainment such as community awareness, corporate policies and understandings. We frequent clubs, music conferences, record pools, open mics, car shows and anywhere that our audience can reach us and become apart of our movement.
